WHAT TO EXPECT
Harlan makes things. Materials of wide array find new life as aesthetic pieces, furniture, and knives. An old piece of salvaged lumber bound for destruction becomes a new table, random pieces of steel become a metal bird feeder. Harlan is presenting all new work for the Portland Art Open.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Harlan says, "I don't believe anyone would really be silly enough to choose to be an artist, but are born as one. I would say it's been six years that I have been working as an artist as a "profession". I started in Missouri then down to Florida for some schooling at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for an Industrial Design Degree. I've been in Portland since July 3rd and have been seeking massive loads of inspiration."
