ARTIST NAME
Alisha Wessler
WHAT TO EXPECT
Alisha's work emerges from a profound desire to depict imaginary worlds, but it's not important which particular story the viewer takes away.
More interested in scenes that merely hint at narrative, her illustrations elicit discomfiting feelings through their many subtle contradictions. Pretty yet strange, delicate yet morbid, surreal yet grounded in wombs and root systems - her images compel participation, unfolding as psychological maps of secret passageways or unfamiliar dreamscapes.
Alisha's process is primarily intuitive and always stems from the act of drawing in one form or another.
