ARTIST NAME
Karen Silve

WHAT TO EXPECT
Silve's new works are inspired by the dynamism of nature. Energy pours out of her work which is layered with bold aggressive strokes, vibrant colors, intrinsic drips, and pushing and pulling of paint. These raw and expressive marks create a language without words, a visual poem understood on an intuitive level.

Silve’s work comes out of the Abstract Expressionists concept of "art and life duality," the Neo-Expressionists, and Process Art. Her main influences are Willem de Kooning, Cy Twombly, Joan Mitchell, and Susan Rothenberg.
