WHAT TO EXPECT
PAINTING: Current works are abstract-pattern-field paintings executed in traditional media (acrylic, encaustic, watercolor) using digital design and mechanically aided application.

INSTALLATION: Exhibit will feature wall-applied cut vinyl installation.

ARCHVES: Matthew will also pull some early work of various media and styles out of the archives.

SPECIAL: Matthew recently completed his new back yard studio so his PAO exhibit will also serve as a 'studio warming' open house.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Matthew Hagget grew up on an island off the coast of Maine + has lived in PDX since 1992. An artist for as long as he can remember, he has a BA in painting / digital art from Connecticut College (91) and an MFA in painting / installation art from PSU (96). He's been represented locally by Butters Gallery since 99 and has sold hundreds of pieces of vinyl wall art all over the world as a guest artist at Blik (whatisblik.com) since 05.
