WHAT TO EXPECT
Geometric/biomorphic sculptures and plans in a dialogue with the natural world.

Kate will be presenting her works as prototypes in a working laboratory/boutique arrangement in collaboration with her symbiote Orji Walflauer.

The space will be called "Incubatorium 1", wherein each piece will be treated as a combination of technology and lifeform. Orji's performance and soundtrack will contextualize and rhapsodize the pieces. In the midst of these specimens, my short film, BRAIN, will be running on an endless loop.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kate Fenker has been a working artist for eighteen years, from Portland and back again, via San Francisco, CA and New York. She received an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, and a BFA from Oregon State University. Her work has been shown at the San Francisco International Airport, JayJayArt and Southern Exposure in the San Francisco bay area, and at Dabora, Blue Sky, and A.I.R. in New York.
